End Of The Term Art Reflection

Art Reflection

Where is your focal point?
Our focal point for the front cover was the picture in the middle, where it shows a handshake, we did this by putting the leading lines (The pink and grey shapes in the background) on the side to lead people's eyes towards the picture in the middle. The curved text also helped attract people's eyes towards the subject.

Why did you choose it and put it where it is?
We chose to put a bright colour that goes well with white to attract people's eyes that would eventually take them to the focal point.

How are your shapes and lines leading to your focal point?
The shape we chose was simple due to it not being over the top and sticking with the simple theme the line was straight so it can easily lead people's eye to our subject.

Why did you choose the colours you did?
We originally tried to do a pastel colour palette and we started with pink so we decided to just stick with it since we wanted it to be simple and not too bright.

Does your text reflect the hierarchy rule? How?
Our text followed the hierarchy rule by using different text sizes to let the viewers know if it's the title and the body text.

How does your page link with other members in your group?
We used our colour scheme throughout our pages, used similar fonts and used black and white pictures.

Based on the start of the term, where would you now rate yourself on the solo levels? Why?
I would rate myself 3, we planned out what our magazines are gonna go look like before actually doing it, we also researched about Micheal Mew and applied his leading lines technique in our magazines and related other artists into our magazine from seeing it from the internet.

  1. Kia ora Sofia,
I really like the lines and shapes you have used for your design. Reading about why you chose to do it this way was also really helpful. If I saw this in a magazine I would stop to read it, it looks interesting and I like the layout. I am a bit confused about the rating system? Is that like a 3/10 or 3/5? What does that mean? Could you please explain that to me?
Look forward to hearing from you,
    Miss Morgan
