When people who have Celiac disease eats gluten, it attacks their small intestine. The attack damages the villi that absorb nutrients from food.

- Celiac disease can lead to different disorders like cancer and problem with fertility.
- It takes 6-11 years to be correctly diagnosed with celiac disease.
- 20% of people who has celiac disease also have an immediate family who has the same condition.
Lactose Intolerance
What's lactose intolerance and how does it affect people?
People who're lactose intolerance are allergic to dairy products. After eating food containing a dairy product they would start to feel symptoms like, cramps, bloating, painful gas, diarrhoea and nausea.

- Babies can be lactose intolerance
- It doesn't affect everyone the same way.
- You can build up your tolerance even just a little bit.
Food Allergies:
What's Food Allergies and how does it affect people?
Food allergy when people has allergic to different types of food. It affects people different ways, like having spots or rashes.
3 facts about it:
- There are up to 15 million Americans who have food allergies.
- There is no cure for food allergy.
- 30% of the children who has food allergy has more than one allergy to food.
Task 3: Why are food labels important to people that suffer from these allergies?
Having food labels are very important to people especially people who suffer from these diseases, they always need to know what the ingredients are for the food that they're eating. This is mainly because they have to know if they're eating something they're allergic to. If food labels don't exist people who have allergies would find it very hard to eat and they might eat something they're allergic to which can cause them a lot of harm.
