What is bacteria?
Bacteria is a small organism that can only be seen under a microscope.

What do bacteria need to survive?

  • Oxygen
  • Moisture
  • Food
  • Time
  • Temperature
  • Neutral PH levels   
  • Give 3 examples of how we avoid spreading bacteria?
  • Wash your hands before and after you cook.
  • Don't refreeze meat.
  • Keep kitchen clean
  • Keep food at the right temperature.
  • Put food away separately.

What does term cross-contamination mean and what it's effect on you?
When the bacteria unintentionally transfer from one substance to another. It gives you salmonella (food poisoning)
